Mr. Vertannes is an innovative, proven leader in the air cargo industry with a track record of achievements exceeding 4 decades.  

From 2011 to 2014, Mr. Vertannes worked as Global Head of Cargo for International Air Transport Association (IATA), responsible for industry rules and standards. He initiated the Global Air Cargo Advisory Group (GACAG) incorporating IATA, International Federation of Forwarding Agents' Association (FIATA), the International Air Cargo Association (TIACA). 

Mr. Vertannes has been head-hunted all through his career roles at Air Canada, Menzies Aviation, Gulf Air, Etihad Airways and IATA. He consistently delivered the financial results through development of strong commercial relationships and tight costs controls, leveraging value from corporate assets and developing staff and implementing customer service solutions. During his tenure at Etihad Airways, he managed 52 customer airlines during successive years of unprecedented turbulence in the aviation industry commencing with "9 · 11", gulf war, global economic downturn and SARS. 

With keen perception of the industry trend, Mr. Vertannes had foreseen the how e-commerce and web-based technology would change the world at the beginning of the 21st Century. At IATA, he led the digitisation program, e-freight and e-Airway Bill.
